The artwork of Roger Kast presented here is the result of his work in studios located in California, Texas and Minnesota including his studio in Duluth, MN and near Lake Superior.
With over 1,200 documented works by the artist, these Lake Superior sunrises and moonrises have never been exhibited. The pastels and paintings seen on this website often have a dominant horizon line which comes from the influence of Lake Superior on those who live and work near the largest freshwater Lake in the world.
The artist's view from his studio in the Hayes Building, downtown Duluth, inspired this Lake Superior imagery.
